I got to dress AND shoot her

So now that it’s finally breaking freezing temperatures, I convinced Liz to let me take some pics of her. She even let me pick out her outfit! Is it weird to have been excited about that??:)I’ve been dying to get out for some outdoor shots. I’m so glad March is finally here. Should be a great month! Have a wedding, trip to Florida, and a trip out to Salt Lake for a mentoring session with one of my favorite photogs!

Took these right outside my studio. Love me some b&w action!

ohh wow! these are so awesome!! They are just beautiful…like the chair too! I think my fav is the one with the hair in her face where she is looking up. Almost looks like she has dreads. :)

I agree w/ Steph….really like the chair shot w/ the open road behind her! They are all awesome!!

Brianna

Brianna will be a senior next year at Urbandale, which is where I graduated from. It was fun talking about some of the teachers that are still there, but it made me feel so old knowing a lot of them aren’t there anymore! Where have the years gone?

I’ve been rocking out to a band called Phoenix while going through these photos today. Can’t believe I just now came across them. What other great music is the world hiding from me? Let me know if there’s a band you recommend. Always looking for some good tunes.

Anyway, on to the photos. Isn’t she stunning??

My new chair that my mom bought for me this weekend. Thanks mom.:):)

Positively stunning photos. But then, I'm not surprised. They always are.

Her eyes are amazing! You did a great job bringing the color out. You open the windows to people's souls, Ryan! True Genius as usual. ;)

wow! These are gorgeous!

Sisters

I’m totally ready for busy season to begin. And that’s putting it lightly. I didn’t have my equipment for a large part of January because it was in getting calibrated and I was also in Florida for 10 days with family. So I can’t tell you how nice it is to finally be able to get some shooting done! Here’s a session I had just this morning, but couldn’t wait to post some. They were so awesome and easy to work with.

Loving black and whites these days. This first one is my favorite from the session.

February Mini-Sessions Available!

I’m excited to announce that I will be offering studio mini-sessions on February 12th and 27th. This is perfect for anyone looking for a quick session or doesn’t need an entire session. It would also make for a nice Valentine’s Day gift! Here’s the deal:

Investment: $125 plus tax
-20 Minute Session
-1 to 4 people
-10 fully retouched images in an online gallery, available for ordering
-1 backdrop of your choice
-One 8×10 print ($35 value)
-10% off your entire print order
-Times available each day (Feb 12 & 27): 1:00, 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, 4:00

This is a huge savings and I don’t plan on offering it again this year. Also, I have been debating about offering digital files for a long time. The main reason is I like to know that prints are professional quality, and if they were printed poorly, I feel it would be a poor reflection of the photos. HOWEVER, for these mini-sessions, I will make the digital files available for purchase. The CD of all the high resolution images with reproduction release will be $250 plus tax.

Please email me at ryan@ryantowephotography.com to book your session!

Here are a few images from a mini session I had last night with my wonderful nephew. Got mostly serious looks from him, but lucky for me, I like it.:)

Adrianne & Nathan… Married!!!

What an amazing wedding this was. Put together in 6 days by their community, friends and family. So much unknown about the near future for Adrianne, as at the time, all they knew regarding her condition was that she had a brain tumor that required surgery. For all the details regarding her miracle, visit their blog.

These are some of their friends, who are very musically talented.

Nathan’s expressions before and during Adrianne’s walk down the aisle…

Genuine Adrianne and Nathan. I don’t think they even knew I was photographing them.

Ryan these are amazing. Amazing.
I'm so glad you quit! Not that I didn't enjoy working with you, but this is what you were meant to do.

Dragon BreathJanuary 22, 2010 - 9:36 PM

Simply Marvelous. I love Adrianne and I have not even met Nathan yet, but you captured his spirit so well that I feel like I know him. Again, Ryan, you are great at what you do!
