Senior: Madeline

Madeline is the friend you go to when you’re having a bad day.  She equals total awesomeness with her positive, happy personality.  Everyone needs a Madeline in their life.  I seriously don’t know how I have been getting so lucky!!!  I’m just feeling totally blessed to photograph all of these awesome people lately.

Oh– Great Brick Road!

Senior: Katie

Katie is just one of those people you feel comfortable with the second you meet her.  While walking around with her during the shoot, I had so much fun just talking with her and learning about what drives her.  She recently returned from a mission trip where she helped others by painting houses. You like her already, don’t you?  It doesn’t take much.:)She’s got such a kind heart, which made it all the more amazing to capture her. Thank you Katie for inspiring me.

AND she was a natural in front of the camera!!  I could have photographed her ALL DAY.

I really can’t decide whether I like this one better in color or b&w… so both it is.

It’s a good time, I promise. :)

So I know I don’t post a lot of happy, smiley photos on the blog.  I don’t want people thinking that sessions with me aren’t fun or that the people I photograph aren’t happy people.  It’s totally the opposite.  I’m just all about genuine expressions and I feel that the serious look or soft smile is typically more genuine.  And honestly, it was a bit of a branding decision.

But to prove that happiness exists in front of my lens, here’s Cat and her happy self.:D

And although this one isn’t super smiley, I still think it has a happy feel.

Oh Cat, you are awesome. It makes me feel so great to know that you love your photos. :)

Senior: Cat

Cat is a beautiful soul.  Words cannot express how blessed I feel to have been able to photograph her.  When Cat and her family first came to my studio, I knew right away that the session would be special.  I’ve never felt so embraced as a photographer.  Her family is so warm and welcoming. They even invited me to walk over to see her father’s incredible architecture firm a couple blocks away from my studio.  Cat had an open mind for the session and let me try out a new location.  She put her complete trust in me and, as a photographer, what more could you want?

And, seriously Cat… ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?  Such a beautiful person, inside and out.

Her eyes are spectacular! Nice color!!

Becky & Tyler… Married!

One word to describe their day… FUN. These two are hilarious and so much fun to be around. Had me laughing the entire day. And Becky was such a beautiful, happy bride. As I’ve gotten to know these two leading up to their wedding, I knew their day was going to be fun and special. Their love for each other was so much fun to watch.

Now for an obnoxious amount of photos.:D

Freestyle action.
HA!!!
Okay, it’s official. I love laughing brides.:)
OHHHH BECKY!!!!  Such a gorgeous bride.
Apparently they have a fondness toward lurkers “ruining” good photos.  Of course I was happy to help. HA!!
Their first dance was anything but traditional.  I think everyone was blown away by the creativity that went into their choreography.

Father daughter dance…

And again, the mother son dance was also pretty hilarious.  I mean, look at the dedication in Tyler’s face!!
