Love this. Love the idea to take a backdrop outside. My favorite is the one, looks like with natural light and the yellow and gray backdrop! So fantastic!!

Ooo I love the use of your backdrop at the location..showing just part of it. Those colors are AWESOME together! Amazing!

Senior: Erika

Senior season is in full swing and I just LOVE this time of year.  I have so many amazing seniors this summer and it’s going to be amazing!  And to start things off, I couldn’t have asked for an easier person to shoot than Erika. She brought a TON of enthusiasm to her shoot, which made photographing her so much fun!  I have to tell you, Erika mentioned during the shoot that she was worried how she was going to do for the shoot… (go ahead and roll your eyes, I know I did).  Seriously, she was SO easy to shoot.  Made my job super easy.

Thanks for your patience Erika! Hope you like the sneak peek!

Beautiful girl…. Beautiful photos!

Caitlin & Jake… married!!!

This beautiful couple got married downtown at the Temple for Performing Arts.  And it could not have been any better of a day!!  So leading up to the wedding, those meteorologist pranksters got me fully expecting it to rain this entire day… but I was glad they were wrong!:) As a photographer, I was SOOOO excited that the Arts Festival was going on just a block down the street, which meant that Locust Ave. was shut off.  I mean seriously, could it have been any more perfect for street shots!??!  So many favorites from this wedding, so I’m sharing lots!:)

Caitlin and Jake, thank you so much for giving me a ton of portrait time with you guys!!  Hope you can see why I insisted on doing so many!:) Congratulations guys!

Jake was super quiet all day…until he saw Caitlin. He had the most amazingly sweet things to say to her. Even I had to wipe my eyes a bit afterward.
Love how small her hand is in his!:)
Are you kidding me with this bridal party!?!?  Wow to them.
Guessing not many bridal parties get the opportunity to do a jump shot in the middle of Locust… just sayin’.:D
Thanks for playing along guys!!:)
They were announced on the balcony at the Temple.
At some point in the cutting process, Jake decided to screw the cutting process and just go for it… and Caitlin doesn’t seem too amused.:D
This bridesmaid was pretty pumped to catch the bouquet, as evidenced by her awesome jump.

RYAN! These ROCK! Love them all….totally impressed!

Kelsey & Danny… Married!!!

I seriously get to photograph the most amazing people.  I hadn’t seen Kelsey and Danny since way back when I did their engagement session.  They live out in Boston, but I’m SO glad they got married here and gave me the opportunity to capture it.  It was a gorgeous day with every detail accounted for.  They got married at the beautiful Glen Oaks Country Club and I must say, it was one of the easiest places I’ve ever shot… lots of big trees, big windows and gorgeous details throughout.  And top that all off with the most amazing light I’ve ever photographed in and well, I was pretty giddy to say the least.

Congratulations Kelsey and Danny!!!

Loved her reaction after putting on her dress.

They both exchanged notes/gifts and it’s always fun to photograph the exchange.
undefined
After Danny opened his gift, he explained by saying if he could have dinner with one person, it would be Larry David.  Haha, I love that.  My wife is and always has been a die hard Seinfeld fan.
undefined
Thanks Kelsey for letting me take so many portraits of you!!  Such a beautiful bride!!!

The dance was one of the craziest I’d ever seen!  EVERYONE was out dancing!  Even Grandma was out on the dance floor pretty much the entire night!!

Emily & Mike… married!!!

I’ve been putting off blogging this wedding for a while now, so it’s a bit overdue.  I just knew it would take me forever to go through and figure out which ones to blog, since there were a TON.:)But at last, I present to you Emily and Mike’s wedding!  These two know how to have fun and I like that. It totally made the day a blast to capture!

Here’s just a few from their day. Congratulations Emily and Mike!!!  You two are SO beautiful together.

It was supposed to rain, so Emily bought the bridal party a bunch of umbrellas… well, it didn’t rain. But hey, props!:D

They got married at St. Ambrose, which may possibly be the most beautiful church I’ve been in.
undefined
Haha, this guy SPRINTED down the aisle.  Couldn’t believe I got him in focus.:)

Then off to a couple bars to relax and celebrate… indian style??
undefined
undefined
Is there such thing as a beer model?  Emily should totally have that job.
undefined
And then to the reception.  Had to post these two because it just cracks me up SO hard. Best entrance EVER!!!!  Hahaha!!!
undefined
This was also very funny. The DJ played a game where he describes a habit and they hold up the shoe that they feel fits that description most. (if that makes sense)  So they were questions like “who spends more time in front of the mirror?” or “who is the first to say sorry?”  So of course, hilarity ensued.
