I’m struggling to find the words to say. I just recently learned that one of my most favorite people has passed away. I cannot say enough how much I have loved getting to know Mike through photographing him and his wife. Mike was truly an amazing man and if you knew him, you know exactly what I mean. The thing I remember most about him is that every time I’d see him, he would immediately greet me with a firm handshake and a smile that made me feel like I’ve known him for years. He had an amazing laugh and was such a joy to be around. I am so thankful and blessed to have known him and will deeply miss him. Please keep Emily and family in your prayers. Rest in peace Mike…

a lovely tribute to an amazing man (& couple) Ryan!! Your photographs catch the essence of the joy they found in each other. Thank you
so sorry to hear:( i will pray of him and his family!
Oh wow… your words and images nearly made ME feel the loss. I’m so sorry
The irony of all this, Ryan is rather overwhelming. I booked Emily and Mike’s wedding at the Marriott before I left….then I was Mike’s RCIA sponsor when he joined the Catholic church….the way Mike connected us all to feel loved was..is..will forever be overwhelming. A few weeks ago when I reached out to for the brochure this is why…b/c of Mike. You truly captured his spirit and love for Emily. You do more than take pictures my friend….

Ryan,
This was a nice thought to put together this tribute to Mike.
He meant so much to our family. You are right about the smile –
he could light up a room and make you feel so special.
We miss him so much.
